VX AEROSPACE TEAMS WITH ADVAERO TECHNOLOGIES AND NC A&T UNIVERSITY TO EXPLORE ADVANCED COMPOSITE MANUFACTURING TECHNIQUES

VX Aerospace Corporation of Morganton, NC has teamed with Advaero Technologies of Greensboro, NC (a spin-off from NC A&T State University), to explore new manufacturing techniques for light-weight composite parts for military aircraft. Under the teaming arrangement, VX Aerospace will manufacture various composite parts for its customers using certain Out-of-Autoclave technologies. Advaero will provide composite analysis, composite ply schedules, and materials testing services. In certain manufacturing applications, Advaero will employ its High Temperature, Vacuum Assisted Resin Transfer (H-VARTM) molding and curing processes, which are licensed from NC A&T.
